experiment

In chemistry, you have to follow strict rules and certainly no monkey business. Although every year there are some students who won’t go with the herd. Lately I’ve heard a story about three students who had made their own bomb, using chemical products from the laboratory. They had mixed all these products together, resulting in an unstable substance. Eventually at the end of the year, one of them threw it in a sink but unfortunately for him, it exploded in his face. Luckily for him, he didn’t get severe injuries and he took a great lesson from his experiment!

Hey
I think this is a nice blog. I had to read it several times to find something I didn't like. I would have gone for 'go with the flow' or 'follow the herd' instead of ' go with the herd'. What I didn't like as well was 'unfortunately for him' and 'Luckily for him'. I don't know what is wrong with it but it sounds bad.
But after all this is a very good blog, I can't say anything bad about the vocabulary or grammar not even about the picture!

Hi Duchan and Babs,

Good informal style 'monkey business', follow the herd (indeed, Babs)

Luckily (for him), you can leave out 'for him', but it's not a mistake. Natives do it too.

Good job,the both of you!
